London, UK – October 28, 2024 – Coventry University is expanding its commitment to affordable education by broadening access to Open Educational Resources (OER) for its students. In partnership with BibliU, the university will provide a seamless, unified platform for access to an array of OER materials. To further support student engagement with these resources, Coventry is also launching BibliU’s Engage product to enhance how students interact with course materials. The initiative marks an important milestone in Coventry’s ongoing efforts to ensure affordable and equitable access to education.
Coventry University approached BibliU with a clear vision: expand the use of OER while addressing common challenges such as discoverability, quality, and consistency. In response, BibliU tailored Engage to meet Coventry’s specific needs, enhancing OER resources with integrated assessments, standardised formats, and multi-functional question types—all designed to create a more cohesive and supportive learning experience.
Why Engage?
Largely driven by feedback from students and faculty, Coventry partnered with BibliU to enhance and expand the OER learning experience. Engage addresses a number of key challenges such as discoverability, quality, and consistency of existing OER content . By integrating interactive elements, assessments, and analytics, Engage not only provides seamless access to content but also enriches the learning experience, equipping students with additional tools to support their academic success.
