BibliU Partners With Iowa Western Community College to Implement Universal Learning, Serving Over 5,000 Students

Partnership will bring accessible and affordable learning resources to the college’s students and faculty

NEW YORK and LONDON – August 2, 2023 – BibliU, the EdTech innovator democratizing content accessibility, today announced its partnership with Iowa Western Community College (IWCC), a learning community committed to excellence. Through this partnership, BibliU will provide IWCC with Universal Learning — affordable, accessible educational resources that meet the demands of the contemporary learner.

Dedicated to meeting educational needs and improving the quality of life through programs, partnerships and community involvement since 1967, IWCC sought to improve student access to textbooks. Working with BibliU enables IWCC to equip students with first-day access to relevant digital resources through a single sign-on, allowing them to get course materials quickly.

"Iowa Western is excited to partner with BibliU to provide the best possible educational experiences for our students and to align with its mission to enable more equitable, effective and efficient learning for students," said Dr. Dan Kinney, president of IWCC. "This partnership with BibliU allows us to innovate content delivery and ensure every Iowa Western student is set up for success from day one. We hope this partnership will translate into wider student success."

The partnership also allows IWCC to streamline its textbook requisition process, helping it avoid publisher supply issues while enabling its faculty to select its learning resources across multiple publishers, providing them with more options for instructional material for their courses.

"We are thrilled to partner with such a forward-thinking college. We recognize Iowa Western's mission to meet educational needs and improve students' access to course materials," said David Sherwood, co-founder and CEO of BibliU. "The rising costs of textbooks and inefficiencies of the traditional model shouldn't be a barrier in completing a degree and enabling students' social mobility. BibliU is committed to removing these barriers, thus supporting Iowa Western in its mission."
